During this MFA course, I had the opportunity to experiment with graphic coding using DrawBot during a workshop led by Hugo Jourdan. I was also introduced to stone engraving and calligraphy—including Gothic, chancery, and humanist scripts—which I continue to practise regularly. This hands-on approach is a powerful way to grasp the fundamentals of typography by experiencing it through the gesture of the hand and the rhythm of the pen in constructing letters.
