Following an in-depth study of a 17th-century italic typeface found in a book from the École Estienne heritage library, the goal was to produce a revival of the original type design. Sourced from a multilingual dictionary, the challenge lay in redrawing this damaged typeface while preserving its character and adapting it for use as a functional font. The typeface remains a work in progress. The regular style is currently being developed by my classmate, Pauline Rabelle.
